🚀 The scale of what’s happening in the greater Austin, Texas area in terms of tech innovation is mind blowing.
Being here in the ARC area of the UK, you’d be led to believe we are living in the innovation hub of the country, but as with many things British, we don’t shout about it. You essentially think you’re living in a period drama or Hogwarts. 🧙
However, this is not how the Americans do things. Big, bold, brash and unapologetic..! 🇺🇸
🤖 However, the countless Waymos and Robotaxis, tell a slightly different story — they just get on, integrating into a society that turns a blind eye to the technological revolution happening in everyday life.
Last time I was in the USA I came back feeling that it was a little bit stuck in time, and I’d maybe get the same feeling in parts of this enormous country now — but Austin? Genuinely, it felt like the future.
